Physical Therapy

A health care service designed to treat the consequences of disease or injury by addressing impairments, functional limitations, and/or disabilities in patients.  Common conditions for which patients seek physical therapy include: Low back/neck pain, headaches, sprains, strains, post-op care for total joint replacements, stroke, cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, arthritic conditions, systemic diseases (cancer, cardiopulmonary and circulatory conditions, workplace and sports injuries.

Craniosacral Therapy

CranioSacral Therapy is performed on a person fully clothed.  Using a light touch-generally no more than the weight of a nickel-the practitioner monitors the rhythm of the craniosacral system to detect potential restrictions and imbalances.  The therapist then uses delicate manual techniques to release those problem areas and relieve undue pressure on the brain and spinal cord.  [Description taken from The Upledger Institute, Inc. brochure]
